The research aimed to analyze what effects a didactic sequence with the use of a Learning Object created in GeoGebra has on the learning of operations with integers. The research methodology used was the assumptions of Artigue's Didactic Engineering, which has four phases: (I) Preliminary Analysis, we present a study on the state of the art, where research was carried out on works on the subject of operations with integers, in this phase we also presented historical factors about integers and their operations, and we presented the GeoGebra software that is the generator of the learning object of our research. (II) Conceptions and Analyses a Priori, in this phase, the Teaching of Mathematics by Activities was chosen as the theoretical foundation, which will be the teaching methodology that will support the sequence of activities produced. (III) Experimentation. We applied a sequence of eight rediscovery activities, where students had to use the Learning Object, to apply the commands determined in the activity script. (IV) Validation and Posterior Analysis, in this phase we validated the results achieved in the experimentation, considering that the approach used made it possible to improve the effectiveness of the students' learning. The results obtained showed a positive qualitative performance of the subjects involved, as the activities contributed to the development of cognitive and practical skills.PPGEM - Metodologia para ensino de matemática no nível fundamental
