Although the role of the manager in undergraduate programs is not widely discussed in the literature, it is a position that encompasses very specific functions and interacts with faculty, students, the civil community, and the scientific community. Given that, in Brazil, undergraduate students are not prepared to assume roles in teaching and management, they enter without the necessary preparation to take on such challenges. This study aimed to propose managerial strategies to improve health education management in HEIs. To achieve this goal, a qualitative research was conducted, utilizing semi-structured interviews with coordinators of health undergraduate programs and department heads. The main results indicated that the managerial strategies adopted by the coordinators include valuing the faculty, promoting a collaborative environment, and integrating teaching, research, and extension. Based on the results, instructional material on managerial tools was developed to serve as a practical guide for academic managers, aiming for the continuous improvement of education quality. It is concluded that the implementation of effective managerial strategies is essential to strengthen health education, contributing to academic excellence and student satisfaction.
