The research is grounded in the identification of recurring student difficulties in understanding situations involving variation between quantities, evidenced by low performance rates in exam questions, especially those related to the filling of containers with different geometric shapes. From a methodological perspective, this study is characterized as applied research based on the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, which guides the construction and evaluation of artifacts aimed at solving practical problems. In this context, the SENVG simulator (Simulator for Teaching Notions of Variation Between Quantities) was developed, structured upon mathematical models representing the behavior of liquid height as a function of time, considering different geometric forms and constant flow conditions, enabling dynamic visualization of relationships between variables through the articulation of graphical, geometric, and numerical representations. The validation process involved High School Mathematics teachers and was conducted through structured questionnaires, Likert scale items, and open-ended questions. The results indicated a positive evaluation of the artifact regarding conceptual clarity, didactic organization, and its potential to support the understanding of relationships between quantities. The analyses also revealed that the simulator contributes to shifting the focus of mathematical activity from merely obtaining results toward interpreting relationships, allowing students to observe variable behavior in real time and establish connections between different forms of representation. It is concluded that the SENVG constitutes an Educational Product with significant potential to contribute to the teaching of graph interpretation and variation between quantities by promoting an approach grounded in exploration, visualization, and analysis of dynamic phenomena. Furthermore, the study points to possibilities for continuing the research through the development of didactic sequences and empirical studies involving students.PPGEM - Metodologia para ensino de matemática no nível médio
