Acting as mediating elements between human beings and their organic-spiritual harmony, these so-called power plants present biopsychosocial value, by helping individuals and groups to reaffirm their mystical, medicinal and religious systems. The aim of this research was to analyze the relationships established between human beings and power plants, addressing influences on lifestyles and attention to physical and spiritual health in different contexts of culture. The signing of the Free and Informed Consent Term (TCLE) visits took place at the Centro de Unificação Rosa Azul (CURA) belonging to the municipality of Marituba and the backyards of the municipality of VigiaPará. To obtain the data, recurrent techniques were used in ethnobotanical research, such as participant and non-participant observation, and application of questionnaires and forms. The choice of participants was given by probabilistic sampling and rational selection. The collected plant samples were incorporated into the herbarium collection (MFS) Marlene Freitas da Silva of the State University of Pará, beginning the thematic collection of "Therapeutic Plants". Qualitative and quantitative analyzes have shown that in CURA, the level of understanding and knowledge among those who share the ayahuasca drink are very similar, especially in studies of the doctrine of unification, sacred plants that make up the drink, rituals and healing. In Vigia's yards, the knowledge surrounding the power plants varied widely within the sample universe, and about 65% of respondents showed high understanding or understanding of cultural diseases, 60% regarding plants and 72% for healing. The power plants were considered by specialists and followers as protective beings and fundamental guides in their therapeutic rituals. Respondents believe that plants have the role of caring, promoting the healing of physical and spiritual diseases, and serving as restorers of the connection between man and nature. As links in this process, the plants were shown through ayahuasca tea, or as an instrument of blessing, or even through the subjective symbology they add.PPGCA - Estudos de ecossistemas amazônicos
