In this scenario, understanding how higher education institutions have incorporated pedagogical innovation and the outcomes of their self-assessment processes represents an essential step toward strengthening the quality and social relevance of health professional education. OBJECTIVE: This thesis aims to analyze the application and consolidation of active learning methodologies in health courses, taking as reference the results obtained from the Institutional SelfAssessment (ISA) of a higher education institution over ten years (2014–2024). METHODS: This is a mixed-methods study, grounded in the interpretive paradigm and structured in three stages: (1) an integrative review of national literature on active methodologies in health education; (2) a longitudinal analysis of ISA reports, emphasizing indicators related to pedagogical innovation, student protagonism, and faculty development; and (3) the construction and validation of two technical products — the Methodological Guide: Interpreting ISA data for teaching improvement strategies and the Workshop Guide: Faculty development based on ISA results — followed by content validation by expert judges and usability assessment with the target audience. Data collection and analysis involved triangulation among institutional indicators, content validation, and usability questionnaires applied to faculty and academic managers, analyzed in light of consolidated methodological frameworks (Hernández-Nieto, 2002; Polit & Beck, 2019; Nielsen, 2012). RESULTS: The findings revealed convergence between the trends identified in the literature and the institutional evolution observed, demonstrating the consolidation of an active learning culture grounded in the integration of theory and practice, student protagonism, and ongoing faculty development. Both products achieved Content Validity Coefficients (CVC) above 0.80 and usability indices exceeding 85%, confirming their clarity, applicability, and pedagogical relevance. The analyses indicated that the use of ISA data as an educational management tool contributes to strengthening the evaluative culture, improving pedagogical decision-making, and promoting the continuous enhancement of teaching and curricular practices. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The proposed model represents an innovative and context-sensitive strategy integrating institutional evaluation and formative practices, demonstrating that the pedagogical interpretation of ISA results can guide faculty development and educational innovation. The products developed are consolidated as support tools for academic management and participatory evaluative culture, with potential for replication in other institutions in the Amazon region and across Brazil, reaffirming the importance of health education as a space for critical reflection, autonomy, and social commitment.PPG-ESA - Fundamentos e metodologias em ensino na saúde na Amazônia
