Its general objective is to analyze the intersectionality of the social markers of difference - gender, race, deafness and class - of deaf women in the socio-educational context. and specific objectives: a) to characterize the historical process of invisibilization of deaf women in Brazil; b) to identify the perception of deaf women regarding the modes of oppression - machismo, racism, ableism and class; c) to analyze how the oppressive processes of deaf women interfere in their professional activities in the socio-educational context. The thesis is: according to the occurrence and contexts, it can be interpreted that in the intersectionality between the variables of gender, race, disability and class that cross deaf women, deafness stands out. The type of study was that of intersectionality, based on the feminist theory of bell hooks articulated with the intersectional studies of Patricia Hill Collins. The corpus was obtained from the triangulation of data between conversations, documents and field diaries. The participants in the research were two deaf women, whose criteria for choice were: to be a deaf woman; to be a teacher in Belém, to be fluent in Libras and to agree to take part in the research. The analysis was based on the thematic categories of invisibilization and protagonism. The results indicate that deaf women perceive the oppressions they experience from their social markers such as deafness, gender, race and class, in the constitution of deaf women that intersect. Deafness as a social marker of difference is the most evident in the episodes narrated by the participants.PPGED - Saberes culturais e educação na Amazônia
