The municipality in question is located in the northeast of Pará and has in its population composition a large representation of populations residing in rural areas (56.3%). Among these populations, there are the riverside, that is, those who live on the banks of the river, in the region of the islands of Cametá and in this spatial context build their knowledge and ways of life. An analysis of the elementary school geography curriculum was sought (final years - 6th to 9th year). About the riverside knowledge, we sought to identify them from the participant observation in the riverside community called Pacuí de Cima. We consider the qualitative approach of the subject in question, seeking through fieldwork, photographic records, documental analysis and open and semi-structured interviews to achieve the proposed objectives.PPGG - Análises socioespaciais e territoriais do campo na Amazônia
