The introduction presents the context of the topic, the justification for the research, as well as the scientific and technological relevance of the work. The literature review gathers and discusses the main concepts, theoretical foundations, and recent related studies. Chapter 2 consists of the first article of the dissertation, which has already been published. The article addresses the potential of Bagassa guianensis as a raw material for application in biorefinery processes, highlighting its characteristics, properties, and feasibility of use in the context of sustainable development. Chapter 3 consists of the second article of the dissertation, not yet published, which was developed from the main insights obtained in Article I. This study deepens and improves the investigation into the use of lignocellulosic raw materials, evaluating in more detail the technological properties of the bark of Manilkara elata and Dipteryx odorata. The objective is to broaden the understanding of the potential of these species as sustainable raw materials and contribute to a more consistent assessment of their possible industrial applications.PPGTEC - Gestão de recursos agroflorestais
