In this artistic and devout practice, we settle our look to the other epistemologies that permeate and signify the life of societies. Therefore, this study aims to lend visibility to the experiential production of Amazonian social actors, that the rationality of eurocentric science subordinates throughout the history of the region and own social actors. Tooking the “Auto do Círio” as a place of historical, cultural and social, I point out the thesis that the educational processes are experienced by the artists whose participants of the procession. The central objective of this doctoral thesis is to identify the possible educational processes which emerge from the memories of the Auto do Círio’s participants. In this way, other specific questions become relevant to provide support for the central objective: identify the memories which give significance to the social experiences of the Auto do Círio’s participating artists; describe the educational processes which cross the experience of Auto do Círio’s procession artists; understand how the memories can increase the possible educational processes experienced by the Auto do Círio’s participating artists. With qualitative approach, the method Thematic Oral History was the tool to listen to the memories of the Auto do Círio’s participating artists, through the Participant Observation; the Field Diary and the Semi-structured interview recorded in audio. These steps significantly affected by the social distancing imposed by the health authorities in the pandemic period of Covid-19. The comprehension of the data analyzed has been on the basis in the content analysis, as of the Writings of Laurence Bardin (1977). Five categories of analysis emerged from the dialogues between the artists and the researcher disclosed knowledge related to Educational Processes and Historical Knowledge; Popular Catholicism Knowledge; Greek Mythology Knowledge; Amazonian Mythopoetic Knowledge and African Religions Knowledge.PPGED - Saberes culturais e educação na Amazônia
