In this context, nursing care is essential, as it is through nursing consultations that nurses identify health/disease problems, and from there, measures for prevention, protection, promotion, recovery, and rehabilitation of the individual are implemented. Objective: To evaluate nurses' opinions regarding the use of the "friendly lap" assistive technology in nursing consultations and cervical cancer screening. Method: This is a methodological research study with a qualitative approach, divided into two stages: applicability of the assistive technology (product) and the professionals' opinions regarding the use of the assistive technology (script). The research took place in the units of the Guamá Administrative District, in the municipality of Belém-PA. Participants were nurses working in primary health care who provide assistance to the women's health program and perform cervical cancer screening. Results: Fifteen nurses participated in this study. Data analysis was performed following Bardin's guidelines, which included two further stages: coding and categorization. In this stage, processing and analysis were carried out using the IRAMUTEQ software. The responses were organized into 15 texts, corresponding to the 15 interviews conducted, constituting a single corpus. Analysis: From this corpus, IRAMUTEQ recognized the separation of 57 text segments, with 54 segments being utilized, indicating a retention rate of 94.74%. 2,044 occurrences (words, forms, or vocabulary) were identified, of which 324 were active forms. The text segments were categorized using descending hierarchical classification; this method presents the relationship between the classes of text segments. The descending hierarchical classification generated five stable classes represented in a dendrogram, composed of elementary context units with similar vocabularies, illustrating the interclass relationships. After creating a word cloud regarding the appearance of the TA “Colo Amigo” (Friendly Lap), this word cloud was generated from the responses obtained from the questionnaire. It was possible to verify the occurrence rates of the words in textual analyses of IRAMUTEQ. Final considerations: The study showed that primary care nurses concluded in their statements that the TA “Colo Amigo” is a strategy. Innovative and positive. With this, the application of the "Colo Amigo" assistive technology has proven to be a fundamental support tool for nurses, contributing significantly to the care provided to women facing the diagnosis and screening of cervical cancer.PPGENF - Enfermagem em saúde pública e epidemiologia de doenças na Amazônia
